What is LilyAssist?
LilyAssist is an AI-powered tool designed to streamline the evaluation and report-writing process for school psychologists. It helps automate time-consuming tasks to allow school psychologists to focus on analysis, interpretation, and decision making to support students.
How is LilyAssist different from other AI tools?
Unlike other AI models, LillyAssist has built in and tested prompts that guarantee you intentional content that is consistent, parent friendly, neurodiversity affirming, and strength based. No need to develop or refine your own prompts. LilyAssist was designed and vetted by a former psychological services director and vetted by experienced school psychologists. It is specifically designed for school-based evaluations, ensuring accuracy, readability, and compliance with best practices all in one place.
Does LilyAssist replace my professional judgment?
No. LilyAssist is designed to assist, not replace, school psychologists. LilyAssist intentionally does not provide inference or suggestive language. Using AI to provide interpretation and analysis can lead to errors and hallucinations. As the school psychologist with the degree that you worked hard for, you remain in charge of the interpretation and analysis to ensure accuracy and individualization in all reports.
FUNCTIONALITY + FEATURES
What types of evaluations does LilyAssist support?
LilyAssist helps with initial evaluations, reevaluations, and other assessments by providing structured checklists, templates, and automated summaries. A separate option for social emotional evaluation reports is coming soon!
Can I customize the report?
Yes! You can modify generated text, add your own interpretation, and edit the report template. You can also choose to add an AI usage disclosure statement to your report. LilyAssist will continuously be updated to be more and more customizable for individual users. Highly custom options are available for district level purchases.
I have a certain report writing style I like to use. Can I personalize the report?
Yes! With each section of the report, there is an option to alter the text or add your own flavor. We like to say that Lily takes your report to "third base" and then you can "hit it home" with your own language and edits!
What tests are supported in LilyAssist?
LilyAssist supports over 39 commonly used assessments, including cognitive, processing, achievement, social emotional, adaptive, and more. We continuously expand our test database based on user needs. Click HERE to see available assessments.
Can I upload score reports?
Yes! You can upload score reports downloaded from test publishers as PDF documents. Student PII will be kept secure! Just download the score report from the test publisher, save as a PDF, and upload under assessments. Please note, multi-rater reports are not currently supported.
How are scores reported in LilyAssist?
LilyAssist reports cognitive, psychological processing, and academic scores using the standard normal distribution curve for standard scores (Mean=100, SD=15) and scaled scores (Mean=10, SD=3), as research indicates this is the most statistically reliable method. Our review of best practices also found that this approach is widely recommended for consistency and accuracy in interpreting assessment results.
How does LilyAssist use qualitative descriptors in reports?
For intellectual, psychological processing, and academic assessments, LilyAssist uses common qualitative descriptors to ensure reports are accessible, consumer-friendly, and easy for parents and educators to understand. This approach aligns with best practices and research recommendations for clear communication and ease in comparing results. For rating scales, LilyAssist applies test-specific descriptors, as research indicates significant variance between different scales. Using tailored descriptors ensures accuracy and alignment with each assessment’s unique scoring system.
Does LilyAssist generate IEP goals or accommodations?
Not yet, but we are actively working on integrating IEP support features such as goal and accommodation recommendations.
Are international reports supported?
Yes. The tests themselves handle the standardization process. Since we do not use raw scores, the specific norms used will not affect your results. A standard score is consistent and comparable, no matter what country the test is administered in.

How much does LilyAssist cost?
LilyAssist is available for $19/month or $190/year. District-level pricing for bulk licenses is also available.
Is there a free trial available?
Yes! We offer a 7-day free trial period for users to explore LilyAssist’s features.
What happens after my free trial?
If you cancel your plan at any point during the 7 day free trial, you will lose access to your account and the platform at the end of the trial period. If you do not cancel during or after the trial period, you will be charged based upon your plan selection and continue with seamless access to your account!
I'm a part of the Thriving Students Collective, do I have to pay extra for LilyAssist?
No! LilyAssist is included in your membership! Just log into your Thriving Students Portal at platform.thrivingstudents.com. Go to the menu at the top left corner of your screen and click on "LilyAssist AI Writer” to access Lily.
What kind of customer support is available?
We offer multiple support options, including:

Can I provide feedback on LilyAssist?
Yes! We welcome feedback and suggestions. Use the blue Feedback button within the platform to submit ideas, report issues, or request new features.
PRIVACY + SECURITY
Is LilyAssist safe to use?
Yes! LilyAssist prioritizes student privacy. Our platform and AI models comply with strict privacy agreements and security measures, ensuring greater data protection.
What information and data does LilyAssist require?
LilyAssist only requires a first name and pronouns to be entered to create an evaluation. It does not require the use of any student Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to get the full user experience. LilyAssist only collects and uses student information and data necessary for the evaluation process. Information and data are not used for any other purpose or shared with any third parties outside of the AI model.
What information does LilyAssist send to AI models?
LilyAssist uses AI to provide content for interviews, assessment write-ups, section summaries, and recommendations. Student pronouns, interview forms, and score report uploads are shared with the AI system.
Does LilyAssist comply with data privacy regulations such as FERPA and HIPPA?
Yes, we follow best practices for student data security and comply with relevant privacy guidelines.
FERPA Considerations
- LilyAssist adheres to FERPA guidelines by ensuring that all student education records remain under the direct control of the educational institution. Users and school districts can request access or deletion of any stored data at any time.
- All stored data is encrypted and no unauthorized personnel have access to student data. Limited access is granted only to designated technical personnel under strict data protection agreements to troubleshoot or enhance system functionality.
HIPAA Considerations
- While LilyAssist is not designed for medical use, if schools incorporate health-related educational records, our data handling aligns with HIPAA security best practices by maintaining confidentiality, encryption, and restricted access to sensitive data.
What if I want to notify parents of AI usage ahead of time, is there support for this?
Yes! LilyAssist includes an optional parent notification letter that users can download and share with families. The letter informs parents that AI-assisted tools are used to help summarize and organize reports, while emphasizing that all content is reviewed and vetted by a certified school psychologist. It also reassures parents that no sensitive or personally identifiable student information was shared with AI and that privacy is a top priority.
Can I add an AI disclosure to my reports?
Yes! LilyAssist provides an optional AI Disclosure Statement for full transparency. The statement clarifies that AI-assisted content was reviewed and finalized by a certified school psychologist.
